Here are the latest charts for November. Currently expecting the CET to finish at 9.4C

If we had not had the cold snap earlier this week and instead the mild weather had continued then the CET would have held up at 10C and would have been close to the November record.

Ouch!  That's going to hurt my position a lot.  Interestingly, not many people went for anything much higher than the expected CET finish.

My final CET estimate for November is 9.48C.

So just below the 9.6C recorded in 2011 and of course the record of 10.1C in 1994. A four day cold snap was all it took to prevent us breaking the November CET record. We came very close indeed.

I have had a fairly dismal year in the competition this year. But November has been a really good month for me and I should move inside the top 20 for the first time this year. If I can pull off another good result in December then I could get into the top 10 which would be quite something given I have been languishing around 30th or below for most of the year. Just goes to show that things can change fairly quickly.

Don't talk to me about dismal

Anyway, I notice Pershore soared all the way to 14.8*C today which is quite something. In fact a swathe of England, extending east from there, climbed into the 14's for a time.

Despite being further into the warm sector, it was a degree or two cooler across the south - and yet another gloomy day in what has been the dullest November in my records going back to 2000. Thank goodness for vitamin D pills!

November has been posted on the year to date section as 9.50C (even though the provisional data is still pointing to 29th)

With an error of 2.1C this month I will be passing the yellow jersey to someone else in December

Hmmm!  Talk about dismal.  I've had a good year and have enjoyed my seat on the top table, which I'm sure to lose this month. Oh well.  It's been nice!

Well done to those whose predictions were spot on or anywhere near.
