Summer will be spray.
How come the met office are not talking about accumulations of snow or is it too early? - they mention significant ice build up!?
Do they mean snow or is this dreaded freezing rain!?

This beast is causing stress on many members on TWo i see.
I don;t mind it turning milder next week providing we get a decent fall or snow either Thursday. Friday or Saturday!?
But that's a week away remember the forecast by GFS and presenters etc was for a total breakdown in the cold for many southern areas by this Friday!?

Met has downgraded Temps for Exeter for Friday now and the SW has 2 amber warnings for snow now:
Weather warning now in force across east Anglia & Se on Thursday:
I can not see MBY getting more snow today the sun is out and the layer of snow we have right now will melt... the outlook for next week where I am is looking at 10 degree mid next week, by looking at the outlook on tv this morning. any heavy snow we might have will be on Friday but its been more restricted to the south west...
That's wrong!! They're still showing the current amber warning from overnight and which expires in a few minutes on the Thursday chart. They need to update the chart for Thu and remove it!!
warnings updated for the South west and Wales. Up to 50cms for Dartmoor and Exmoor

If you want to see a wintry forecast for southern England, check out Dulverton on Exmoor: https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/gcj6r72hu#?date=2018-03-01
12 hours of 80-90% chance of heavy snow, daytime temp of -4C, gusts of 40+mph and a "feels like" of -11C.
I think it's fair to say the Met don't see this fizzling.

Alex Deakin weather presenters the weather for the Met office? I thought BBC & Met don't work together but anyway here with forecast:https://youtu.be/QNRprnNx8R8
Here is the wikipedia page which shows that Alex Deakin doesn't actually work for the BBC any more (in fact, he left the BBC back in October 2016 to join the Met Office).
They don't.
When the split came, the presenters were given the choice of staying with the Beeb or going to Meto, Alex went Meto.

That's an instant classic - one to stand alongside the cold spell forecasts of yesteryear! Hope someone is archiving that.
