Another not entirely convincing display from Man U this evening given good periods of possession, but job done finishing top of their group and probably better to come in the weeks ahead before they play in the next stage

Now we are down to the knock out format, I bet there are a few teams praying they don't get Spurs in the next round.

Nice, easy draw for Arsenal

Man U actually do get their standard issue easy draw. Not as easy as Chelsea's, mind - although is any game easy for Chelsea these days? Spurs have a tricky one.

As for the Gunners, we are out IMO. I can't see how we can overcome Barca without being defensive and we don't seem to be very good at that.

Chelsea, will have little problem in despatching Copenhagen. Man U should also be too strong for Marseille. Spurs have an interesting one.. I honestly beleive they could do a number on AC but its a tough one to call. Arsenal..Well they have a real game on their hands, they will need to be at their very very best to compete with Barca who are clearly the top side in Europe i dont see anyone being able to stop them.

Chelsea / Man U thru..Tottenham 50 / 50 and Arsenal to come up short.

I wouldn't rule out Arsenal, Barcelona have been knocked out of the Champions League by Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd in recent seasons.

If Arsenal are on top of their game, they could pull it off.

I can not understand how Flamini didn't get a red card for the two footed challenge on Corluka. Poor refereeing IMO.

Oh well done Lennon and Crouch ........Spurs lead by a goal to nil at the San Siro with about 10 minutes to play.

And that's the full time score..........AC Milan 0-1 Spurs. Have Spurs come of age?.......does it matter? Great result for Spurs and English football

Congratulations to Tottenham on an excellent result.

Job is not done yet, still plenty to do in the second leg.

With the final at Wembley, I really hope one of the English teams can make it to the final (apart from Man Utd of course)

Well done to Spurs tonight, they totally deserve the win.

At least Milan won't have the thug in there team in the second leg and neither should Flamini after doing his best to break Corluka's legs.

Magnificent performance - best of the season in fact. Not for its creativity but for the sheer discipline. Every player 'stepped up to the plate' but if I was to give any honourable mentions it would have to be for 'Sarge' and Sandro. Unbelievable how they protected the back four, especially in the second half.

Great result for Spurs , Guttuso was entertainment and should well get a lengthy suspension. He should have been shown 3 red cards at different times in the match, quite incredible

Gatusso's current Wiki entry.

Probably will have been edited by the time anyone reads this. Suffice it to say, if I cut and pasted the contents I'd be banned.
