We're trying to address the striker problem properly this time. It's unlikely Sturridge will miss anything like so many games, and we're looking at bringing in another striker who can play in our style. Carlos Bacca would do.

I think you're underestimating Firmino; I just hope opposition managers do too.

I still have major concerns over Rodgers, though. He seems to stumble on a set-up that works, then plays it over & over (regardless of the strengths/weaknesses of the opposition) until we come unstuck, then he rips the blueprint up and tries something else, then something else until he stumbles on another system that works.

Yes fair shout with regards forwards but Im not sure Firmino is your man 1 in 4 return isnt prolific , that makes Giroud look a wordie

Liverpool are again buying.....how many players? There needs to be continuity and stability bringing in 6-10 players a Summer wont give you that instantly

Firmino hasn't been bought as a striker, though, as that's not his position. He's a No10 or No11. Not an out & out winger, more someone who runs the channels or plays behind/off the main striker.

In other words, the Sterling role...

He's also a hard-worker, willing to do the pressing/closing down.

The Vidal of Juve ? The Man U Muppet signing of last summer....hopefully has got over his injuries. Think Man U dropped all interest due to being injury prone.

The BBC report refers to Leicester earlier this month sacking Pearson's son (and 2 others) for something to do with a "racist sex tape". Perhaps this has kicked off a chain of events culminating in Pearson getting the boot.

Alderweireld completes move to Spurs. So that's further strengthening of the defence, which has always been the major problem area.

Sterling refusing to go on the pre-season tour, but also refusing to hand in a transfer request, which would see him lose his [oh, f*ck me, the irony] 'loyalty' bonus.

But hey, it's not about the money is it, Raheem?

Tell you what, though, his agent is one piece of sh1t. No coincidences that he's been the same agent behind Odemwingie's farcical deadline-day stunt when he turned up at Loftus Rd to try to force his transfer through despite his club refusing to sell. The very same agent who's been behind Berahino's petulant posturing trying to get a move away from the Baggies (which saw him shunted to the bench for 2 months by Pulis; now Berahino's fired Ward)

There's some right c*nts playing the actual game, but they're made to look saintly next to the actions of this scumbag agent.

I don't rate the little twat.....I hope Liverpool take Man C money n see him rot on their bench !!  Unfortunately sterling's behaviour may see Liverpool not getting the 50m they want.

It's like Aidy Ward is reading from 'A Beginner's Guide to Being a Football Agent"

He's a laughing stock - and The Brat is too stupid to realise the damage his 'Kevin the Teenager' behavoir is potentially doing to his own career.
