A hammering for QPR last night. A defeat has been coming for a while. I think they've drawn 6 million games this season now?

In other news - do you think his new wife will be pleased to see this:

A new club record of 35 away games without a win, knocked out of the FA Cup 1st round at home by non-league Dover, it was a miserable time....just a few weeks ago. Now? On our way (hopefully) to 3 successive wins - and all of them away from home!!!

It's a funny old game football, when you're a Gilingham supporter! 😛

Another great day  Couldn't get down there today, but they did well in my absence again

Bristol City 2-0 Derby

Another two goals for Pitman. That's 8 in the last 6 games. We are THE form team in the division now. Only 1 defeat in the last 9 games as we pull further away from the bottom 3

In other news: 6 straight defeats for Ipswich  Bye bye Roy  and against Preston, the bottom club with no win in 9 until today.

Cardiff's slump continues. No win in 6 for them now.

Leeds come from 2 down to win 3-2 at Burnley.

In the minor leagues Rovers lose the first set to Sheff Weds by 6 games to 2

Via a form table that makes great reading for Matty & me.

But we play QPR, Leicester & Portsmouth in our next three games. It wouldn't be crazy to suggest we might lose all three...

We have what should be a relatively easy run for a while now. We all know it doesn't work like that in this league and we could easily go on a monster losing streak now, but they way we are currently playing, neat, sharp passing football and cutting teams in half (everything we didn't do against Leeds) I'd fancy us to beat anyone.

Pitman has started scoring for fun and looks incredibly confident, bordering and arrogant. In the next week or two we have some guy called Nicky Maynard coming back into the firs team too

Yeah, Pitman looked very confident from what I saw on the highlights. Maynard can only improve the options available.

We're still letting goals in for fun, but in terms of attacking options I'm not sure there's a better depth in the Championship. Becchio, Somma, Gradel, Howson and Snodgrass have goals in them, and on the bench we have Somma, Paynter and McCormack. The latter has looked different class coming off the bench in the past couple of games.

Saturday's game against Burnley reminded me of school football - three and in. A storming second half performance and yet Burnley still had a brilliant chance to go 3-1 up, and then to equalise right at the death.

No hopes or expectations for us, except for the fact that we're 15 points away from our intial target.

I didn't realise the Town match was on Sky.  But surely they can't abandon it now?  If so the score should stand.

We're winning!!!!!!!     In a blizzard!

I've been incredibly busy with work the last few weeks. I'm putting this down to the reason my interest in football at the moment is virtually zero. Obviously our mediocre season isn't helping, but I just have no enthusiasm for it at all at the moment. I'm off work for a week now and wont be taking in a single game. Virtually unheard of for me

Another disastrous performance from Barnet this afternoon.......they're seemingly incapable of converting possession, attempts on and off target and home advantage into results. I can't see anyway right now, how they're going to avoid relegation from the league

While the chance of Roy being sacked by Liverpool is being discussed in the Premier League thread, there have been two sackings in the Championship.

Preston North End have sacked manager Darren Ferguson

Burnley manager Brian Laws has been sacked

You can understand both managers getting the bullet, though in Preston's case the behind the scenes shenanigans has undoubtedly contributed to their demise.

To think that Simon Grayson turned down mega-bucks to manage Burnley last season...thankfully for us. One thing you can't say about us is that we're boring. 84 goals in our 24 games, 47 of those in 12 games at Elland Road!
