Observations between 7 pm last night and 8.30 pm currently.
LAST NIGHT: Cloudy with outbreaks of rain. Windy.
THIS MORNING: Sunny spells and fleeting showers. Windy.
THIS AFTERNOON: More in the way of showers, even a crack of thunder or two. Some bright spells. Windy.
CURRENT: Cloudy with recent rain, just spotted a flash of lightning in the distance. It was quite clear not so long ago. 7.4 C. 84% humidity.
Dewpoint: 4.9 C. Fresh west winds. Rising slowly to 1000.5
mb.
WINDS: Strong to near gale force south last night, then south west during the day.
AIR QUALITY: Fresh!
VISIBILITY: Good, some haze. Poor in showers.
COMFORT FACTOR: The nearby built up hilly part nearby has been effective as a wind break today and thus the wind at this end wasn't as bad as I thought, in fact it even felt pleasantly mild in the sunshine we did get. However, it did get rough and squally in the showers all the same.
Also we seem to have got off lightly with the mid-day high tide when compared to the rest of the country - but we are wondering what tonight's high tide will bring. Despite the heavy showers making it very wet at times, my area isn't prone to flooding anyway.
RAINFALL (in mm): 8.3
TEMPERATURES (in C): Max: 10.9 at 11.45 am. Min: 6.6 at 5.15 pm.
PRESSURE (in
mb): Max: 1000.5 currently. Min: 993.5 at 6.15 am.
