It's going to be a long, horrible night.

Ticket sales are flatlining, not surprisingly,

Monday night and Sky does nothing for people through the turnstiles.

Personally I hope you absolutely rape them. Rape them!

I'm off work this coming week so may go and watch it at the pub with a couple of mates

Not a shocker at all if you read above.

Having been at the game I can only go on what I've been told - career threatening tackle not even given as a foul. Two odffside goals, cruel ricochets. No club can keep picking itself up when the fates conspire, and certainly not us. We're not good enough. Not enough has been spent. Bates thought he could do it on the cheap. It's pretty obvious we can't.

Cardiff were neat and have a lot of pace, but how long has it taken them?

Blimey that's an old story now. He said all this in his press conference on the day he signed. I wonder if he wishes he'd ignored it when it rang 😂 Fair play to him, his enthusiasm and commitment has been impeccable the last couple of months culminating with him jumping into the crowd on the final whistle after we beat Reading

I see McBoro have gone with Mogga, a nice guy by all accounts and got West Brom out of the division, but he will need time and some funds, neither of which will beon offer at Boro

Ken has a rant at Sky, and justifiably so.

49 days between Saturday home games due to the fixture computer and Sky isn't fair for those who travel a long way and have season tickets. One of my friends will now miss at least five home games due to distance/time off work issues. In the Premier League the financial rewards of being on TV tend to shut clubs up on the whole, but who gives a toss about fans these days?

Yeah, I've been following that on OTIB. The press truly are a joke. Intelligent bloke James.

Meanwhile Matty will no doubt be unsurprised to find out that Bothroyd has been let off with the 'tackle' on Becchio.

I don't know why I am so surprised that the FA have been banging the "outlaw dangerous tackles" drum so loud and clear for so long and let that challenge go. I watched the game and when I saw the challenge I made the comment that at least it will be reviewed and punished accordingly by the FA using video evidence.

One does wonder if the Welsh FA is more lenient than the English FA (although I believe both can be pretty weak). Perhaps the Welsh clubs playing in the English league system should come under the jurisdiction of the English FA.

The Wels FA are, apparently, following FIFA rules. Essentially it seems that the referee saw the challenge and deemed it to be fair and therefore the matter's closed.

Now you have to ask how he could have at least not given a free kick, but there you go. Bothroyd has been quoted thus:

Bothroyd insisted he had been the wronged party, saying: “It was me who was fouled. Their player knocked me over. Nobody should be sent off for trying to win the ball cleanly – and that’s what I did.”

As for the FAW - there are numerous examples of them treating Cardiff favourably whenever they've been up before them for crowd related issues - which is nearly as often as Millwall.

You can see what I meant now Si? I text Simon after the challenge to say Bothroyd should have has a straight red. Dreadful challenge that could easily have snapped Becchio's leg. I'm not remotely surprised to see he's getting away scot-free with it. 😠

But did the ref see it? and if he did was he not playing advantage? Either way it sets a really bad precedence going forward. As for the Bothroyd quote, how stupid

Fortified by a very pleasant lunch at Elland Road I've just sat down to look at Monday's lowlights (I need to clear the Sky+ lol) and fear that Becchio was a victim of not making a meal out of it. He just got straight up. This decision by the Welsh FA (and they could have used the 'ref didn't see it' argument if they'd wanted to) gives a green light to 'simulation' from now on.

There is no incentive for players NOT to cheat.

I don't like the patented Manchester United 'bully the ref' tactics, but if you can't beat them join them.

I reckon Becchio should get a retrospective red card for putting his leg in the way of Bothroyd's perfectly fair challenge.

Just seen him grinning in the post match interview. He's an ugly troll anyway but perhaps someone could make him even uglier on a night out in the near future with the application of a fist? Mind you it might improve him.

Ahh well. Delete duly pressed.

This lad is rapidly turning into a fans favourite both on and off the field. Plucked from the lower leagues and thrown straight into first team Championship action and he is genuinely loving every second of it. Such a refreshing attitude:

Can see us returning to losing ways tomorrow. Boro we're in freefall just as we were starting to string a few results and performances together, but as is our luck it's new manager syndrome and the honeymoon period that will so often go with it.

3-1 Boro
