At least it's only one of the weekend's minor fixtures, involving no team of any consequence.

..sit back and watch  the Spurs this seasonand il give you a slice of the old humble pie come next may

Your season may depend on how quickly Benayoun settles in.

Lol, not a chance of us going for a 31 year old with achilles tendon issues. I think the Chavs have basically given up on Modric.

If Levy really wanted to take the mickey he could suggest £32m + Lukaku.

Looks like he's a greedy b astard if reports are to be believed and at 27 years old he's priced himself out of the market ?

Not as greedy as Samuel Eto'o though, who reportedly is close to signing a £300K+ a week deal.

When I heard he was being signed for megabucks by a corrupt Russian billionaire, I though Chelsea'd further strengthened their squad

Great result for my team that. Liverpool looked good early but I think we might have shaded the second half.

Both Arsenal and Liverpool showing us early season why they will not be title contendors. Really looks like it will be between City, Chelsea and Man U. Will have to see if City can jell as a team, chelsea have an ageing squad. Man U seem to have once again refreshed their squad with some quality and the likes of Smalling, Wellbeck and Cleverley all looking for starting places. Man U could probably field a 2nd XI that would finnish in the top 8 !!

Epic fail by the Mirror. The following picture first appeared last night in a story linking Sagna to Spurs. Forget the non-story, the big question is who was it meant to be? The Mirror have since put in the correct pix.

Is it just me or other than Bolton, it's been a kind of slow start to the season so far?

Villas-Boas must be starting to worry about his position.

And Wanger will certainly be looking over his shoulder once Nasri and Fibreglass leave.

Soooo, Ferdinand out for 6 weeks, Raphael for 10 weeks and Vidic for two weeks. Oh, and not forgetting a dodgy goalkeeper to factor into the mix. Other than that, everything would appear tickety boo.

That will in large part depend on who the ref is.

Of course it will, and how many own goals Utd get, not forgetting that one of Utd's players ought to have been sent off two weeks ago and the opposing team have got injury problems, and.......... So Utd have won the Premiership 4 times out of the last 5 seasons and it's all down to luck and bad decisions..........yeah right.

im gonna make an early prediction and going by my  score predictions in the other thread this could all go very pete tong but il go manchester 1 Spurs 2..(that dont include the ball clearly crossing the line 3 other times before the officials couldnt disallow any more clear cut goals for Spurs)

According to goonblog the Scum are only going to get £12.7m up front for Fibreglass - a second payment to be made in October. Which of course is about as useful as a chocolate firegaurd.
