So far we have had 94 days over 25C this year. Tomorrow should make that 95 and Wednesday could be 96. I think we will just fall short of 100 though (with the caveat that the manual readings aren't in for August and September yet, so there could well be a few that haven't yet been counted)

Latest forecast for the United Kingdom

Last updated 41 minutes ago

Tonight

Tonight, the south of the UK will turn cloudy with the chance of showers, these mainly across the south-east. Northern areas will be dry and chilly with clear spells.

Tuesday

Tomorrow will cloudy with a few sharp showers to start in the south. The cloud and scattered showers will drift to northern areas later, leaving the south warm with sunny spells and outbreaks of rain.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday

Wednesday will see the morning rain clear leaving sunny spells and showers for the afternoon. Thursday will be mainly dry and sunny, with just a few light showers towards the far west. Some rain will move into Northern Ireland in the evening. Outbreaks of rain pushing across the north and far west to start on Friday, but the south will be dry and sunny.

Not sure how the south get warm with sunny spells and outbreak of rain? Really shambles and I think the 3rd world forecasting do better than here.  The way I read they really mixed up with sunny weather which due tomorrow not after.

Last week was amazing in being able to sit outside in just shorts on garden chair for several days in a row, not the case today though with overcast skies and spitty rain but may yet still able to fit in a few more days of sitting outside before Autumn proper kicks in - which thankfully that is still some way off.

My sis was greeted with 35 C temperatures upon arrival at southern Portugal yesterday, not sure if it is still just as hot today but hope to find out later if she messages me.

26.1c the high here and muggy with it so when the sun was out until 2pm it felt very warm.

Clouded over after that but even now it is 21c and feeling humid, still have my study door open as warmer outside than in.

Interestingly we could well record a 'tropical' night in London and parts of the South East tonight - its very warm out still. The models have a low of 21c for central London. That could even challenge the September overnight minimum of 21.7c which would be extraordinary given how late in the month we are. October's highest minimum is 19.4c set on the 1st October in Aber, Gwynedd back in 1985

If St James Park was opened in May onward i wonder how warm it would get at night?  here was 23C the highest at night in June, was true clear skies that time.

I was warm and humid indoors last night and it was hard to sleep. I also checked the radar from time to time. That was a waste of time.

One of the ground workers, hard at it, said it was difficult to sleep last night, and his missus kept waking him up. And vice versa.

Today was the true late September warm spell and reached 24.2C under extreme blue skies and very few clouds.  Conservatory 35C which is very good for last day and if early October warm start can deliver 33-34C to start with.
