I recorded 23.9C this afternoon. Crazy how long this is going on for and how we have started taking it for granted.

The August daily summaries are now out on the Met Office library, and the final figures show:

We lost one 30C+ day (August 2nd, max 29.6C at Wisley, with 31.0 at Frittenden and 30.8 at Charlwood both binned)

We gained one 25C+ day (August 22nd, 25.0C at Preston Cove House.

So that makes 97 25C+ days but only 39 30C+ days for the year.

Also the daily summary lists the max for the 13th as 38.1C at Kew, so maybe the 38.2 at Hartpury has been discounted again after all?
