A new record for me. 37.1c on my PWS was the high an hour and a half ago and now back down just below 36c.

Starting to cool down to 38.3C after it maxed at 38.7c my 2nd highest since July 2022 heatwave.   Conservatory was 45.5c now 43.1C.

Well done GFS for being correct and same usual suspect place like Kew got 38.1C not sure why there no enough stations outside London to Birmingham as some places might had gone to 39C somewhere.  Where is Rickmanworth station that used to be the hottest place every time during 1995 summer?

This summer is just absolutely mental. 🙂🙂🙂 At the moment I'm compiling a list of records that have been broken. Believe me, it's amazing.  There's only 1 left of 1976 and that is the largest number of 32C days consecutive and that is 15. That will take some beating.  This summer has now delivered 35C or over in May, June,  July and August.  😯😯😯😯. That's one of at least 5 or 6 records. What I'm doing is compiling these and at the end of this month put it on here and sticky it for a month before moving it to the classics thread. 🙂🙂🙂🙂

We maxed out here at 35.8c. Absolutely astonishing day of heat across many area. Incredible. Next week remains bone dry for many southern areas and still very warm. The autumn comments were very much overstated again

We might get a revision upwards, that usually tends to happen. Its not out of the question we get another 0.4C ontop of the 38.1C when the metoffice looks at all its manual stations.

Still 35 C where I am in Sheffield. Sunny periods with patches of Ci, Ci cas and Ci flo now. Ac & Ac cas clouds seemed to have moved away.
