What about in the past when Concorde used to take off at Heathrow or any other airport during it visit, they have massive reheat but seem not effect the station temperatures?
Today was 28.7C.

So looks like we are back to 31 30c days.
Bit of a shame, but it didn't look right.
One thing I would say is that the Met Office are very good at replying to queries.

Frittenden also reported a max of 31.0C today, but that seems to have been another station with problems (it had a 39 the other day!)
However it's worth mentioning that both those stations were right in the area modelled to be hottest today. Hopefully tomorrow will see a decent reading at a station that is working properly!
