Some 27s about. Don't think we'll hit 30c though.

The GFS had quite widespread 30s today for EA and SE. So its obviously over doing it atm. Maybe over compensating for the dry ground?

Still in heatwave one here since it has never really relented since May! Max today was 29.2C same as yesterday but slightly later in the afternoon. The max is being attenuated by varying amounts of light cloud.

Still soon be some respite for me as most models showing 20-22CC in the SW from next weekend on which is where I am heading that week.

Still waiting for heatwave one here. It has been a warmer than average month up here but nothing noteworthy. Quite a marked contrast considering the intensity and prolonged nature of the heat in southern parts.

EDIT: And the MetO raw is now up to 32, having been slowly upping the temperature every day since Wednesday first appeared on its outlook. It keeps happening this summer and no surprise to see it again! If only it worked that way in winter (with cold temperatures, rather than winds... it always seems to ninja-up wind speeds too when storms are forecast).

Beyond that - the GFS op this morning has another couple of 30s on the following Monday/Tuesday, with a cooler rest of the week. That still leaves 3 weeks of August and all of September - you'd have to think 1995's record would be beaten this year.

As expected no one now interested with low to mid 30s temps this coming week compare to 10 years ago it woul be buzzing about those temperatures.  Nuneaton ensembles looking so good this Wed with uppers now 18C and quite a lot to 20-21C  Expecting around 35C here on Wed while London 37C or so.

Be happy Matty is the best we can get in the UK with those low to mid 30's temps on Wed.  My heatwave threshold is 30C here so this will be around 3 days but nothing major or a threat to life.
