Levelling off here at about 33, so probably 2 or 3C cooler than yesterday in the end. Further west could still beat yesterday's mark but in this area I think the heatwave peaked yesterday.

Re Jersey no it doesn't count in UK records as far as the Met Office is concerned although TORRO does seem to count it in date records. Jersey has of course already been hotter than the UK, with 37.2 on Tuesday, which was the 2nd hottest ever for the island. Today looks like taking first place from the 37.9C in 2022.

Meanwhile the MetO raw now has 38 here tomorrow... I don't think people locally to me realise just what's on the way, they seem very complacent! (It's 23.1 and breezy right now).

32.8C at Pembrey. Must be absolutely baking on the beach there. I was there during a hot spell last August and the shallow sea coming in over the sand was the warmest I have ever felt in the UK.

Last week yes, but from Monday, Darren and others were flagging up Friday.

Meltdown Monday was a no show!

I think the North Sea has spoilt our chance of our first heatwave since 2022

Thankfully humidity not as high with a fair breeze so it's bearable in the shade, unlike past two days.

33.8C at Gogerddan which I think is a new June record for Wales.

Edit: yes, previous was 33.7C on 18 June 2000 at Machynlleth. Trevor Harley's site said 33.4C was a new record yesterday which was wrong.

Yeovilton seems to have got stuck at 1.30pm.

Keswick and Carlisle both currently up to 30c, which is impressive (got to be a new June record for each)
