Is that your own PWS Roger or a local official? I only ask as on Monday our high was much later than normally expected. On the day I thought it may be because the daytime FARS on my VP2 was still in sun after it would trigger the fan (due to the loss of most of a westerly positioned apple tree), but today we didn't have the same issue so not too sure.

Just went out for an evening walk with the crazy Cocker pup, 10pm, 25c and 19.5c dewpoint. Might as well stand in a shower, not the right kind of dripping sandwich...

Managed a peak of 28.0 C at 6 pm dead on, the sun came out at 2 pm and stayed that way for rest of the day. Still clear and hideously swampy at 25.6 C & high 70% H giving 21 C DP in light east breeze.

Another sultry night here, but not as bad as it is elsewhere. There's an orangey mist over the fields, reflecting the light from the sun rising to the northeast. Not a breath of wind, as per usual in summer.

18.4, dew 17.4, and that's the overnight low so far. It only reached 27C here yesterday but it's still 26C upstairs and 24C downstairs. It's likely to get to 30C or so today but at least as the afternoon wears on an ENE'ly should pick up from the sea, and that should carry on overnight too.

We'll need every single degree of cooling we can get here over the next 36 hours, as the MetO raw still has 38C on Friday!

18.6c and sunny here. Low 17.9c.  Slept with all the windows open , was 23c outside when went to bed at 11pm, managed to sleep okay and wasn't too hot.  Normally resist the windows open as the planes disturb me but was too hot in the house to not leave them open.

Quite comfortable in Edinburgh. A low of 15 C and a moderate westerly wind and cloud. Was hoping for a nice sunny start! At least the house is cool.

I think we will have an Atlantic influence today

Warmest night I have ever recorded here with a min of 19.3c, already up to 23.2c so a good couple of degrees ahead of yesterday.

A bit more of a breeze this morning but the house is still at 24.4c so time to shut up the place shortly.

Thankfully, that didn't happen and in the end, last night's overnight minimum temperature was 14.42°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 14.69°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh which is still warm, but not warm enough to even give us our warmest night of this summer, let alone our warmest June night on record.

In terms of sunshine, this spell of weather has been hotter than the May hot spell but not as sunny here. That is important because this has been a dull month so far and even with this spell of weather, we're still not really making up that sunshine deficit to the same extent as we were at this same stage of May. As a result, this month is now looking certain to go down as a duller than average month here.

This morning is the perfect example of what I said above because although there is some sunshine at times here, there is also a lot of cloud around with only occasional sunny spells.

Currently around 17°C here in Edinburgh, which is a little bit cooler than at this time yesterday but only just. In the end, I still wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with another hot day but today isn't forecast to be as hot as yesterday and I don't think it will be.

We have reached 17 C at 0915 and that westerly wind is easing, the cloud is disappearing. I'm thinking a 24 C max for Edinburgh today

Even if the rest of today is completely sunny though, I still think that this month will be duller than average overall, especially with the forecast being expected to become gradually more unsettled towards the end of the week with a growing risk of showers, possibly even as early as the end of the day tomorrow.

Now 31.2C according to the local PWS in Fleet with a dewpoint of 23.9C.

Usually my home office is bearable until about 3pm when the sun starts streaming in, but I had to have the fan on right from the start today!
