The old saying goes along the lines of 'anything suffering from wind flop give it the Chelsea chop' or something like that.

You can't do that to foxgloves and expect a second flush for this year. Though after flowering but before they set seed en mass, the stem chop encourages them to have another go the following year from the same plant.

My new back gate with its wind filtering (hit and miss) abilities makes a notable difference outside the office.

I think you've posted this in the past, Roger so thank you again for the reminder.

Its looking like a bit of a settled, milder period is about to begin, down here in the SE at least.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the rain these past 12 days, and so has the garden by the look of it (less so the wind!). However, it will be nice to get back outside again to enjoy it - Hopefully we get a fair bit of sun and some comfortable temperatures in the low to mid 20's.

As above really. An actual decent amount of rain to start June and perfect growing conditions going forward. Everything looking much better and with hopefully only moderate warmth and a bit of humidity at last the future is bright. It also looks like further top ups of rain are possible which will be great help keeping water butts (two) topped up.
