One of the more remarkable things over the past 15 or so years is the inexorable rise in dewpoints. I see Southend is reporting 18C, Manston 17C, as is Thorney Island. Further inland dewpoints are a fair bit lower.
17 or 18 dewpoints *used* to only be seen in the moistest of Spanish plumes at the height of summer, late July to mid August. It's incredibly rare to see them this time of year, as the sea is still relatively cold (12-14C around the south and SE at the moment) and that *usually* has the effect of depressing air temperatures and causing coastal fog if very moist air arrives via the sea.
