Clear, misty, calm, 13.5, dew 12.4. I reckon the mist is due to the exceptionally humid air yesterday, dewpoints were several degrees higher than the current temperature.

Yesterday's high was 28.6, almost certainly the hottest May day of my lifetime here. And the MetO raw has 30 on Monday and 33(!) on Tuesday here... 🥵

Overnight now here was 15.4C. Sunny, calm and feels fresh though the temp is now 16C.

I'm sure the greenery helps subdue the temperatures.

Watering time.

Mercifully a comfortable 19 C here at Folkestone at high noon time on account of a nearly onshore easterly breeze, even though it is still full sunshine.
Home location: Folkestone Harbour.

Unofficially, my garden thermometer on the north-facing wall says it's 30.7 °C. It fluctuates from 30.5 to 30.7 °C.

In the kitchen, it's 22 °C. It's the roof's insulating effect.

Sunny here (for a change) with my Davis reading 24c, though I suspect there is a bit of urban heating influence going on there. Dp 15/16c. Govee thrermo (in a Davis shield) in front garden reading 22.5c.

A much more pleasant day today. Same strong sunshine (not a fan personally), same high dewpoint (17C, ditto), but it's only been 21 or 22 all afternoon with a gentle sea breeze. Quite a rollercoaster ahead, with the MetO raw having 32 / 34 / 17 / 22 / 27 / 26 over the next few days, and sunny throughout!

Last night was once again our warmest night of the year so far with an overnight minimum temperature of 13.37°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 13.59°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh and around 13°C at Edinburgh Airport.

Today was our warmest day of the year so far with a maximum temperature of 22.83°C at Edinburgh Airport (the first 20+°C maximum of this year at that particular station),  23.47°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh and around 23°C at Edinburgh Airport.

Today wasn't quite as sunny as yesterday overall due to additional cloud cover earlier on and so, a total of only 7.8 hours of sunshine has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank. However, this evening has become progressively sunny once again and the total for this month is now up to 62.8% of the 1991-2020 May average at that particular station with a week to go until the end of the month, so the deficit for this month is still continuing to be made up as head towards yet another sunnier than average month which has now become the norm for this time of year in particular.

It's another warm evening here in Edinburgh as well with the temperature still at around 20°C, and I'm now finding that I'm beginning to swelter a bit in this little flat of mines here in NW Edinburgh.

Repeating the trend from yesterday, it's a few degrees cooler than forecast for 7 AM - no complaints here!

16.1, dew 15.3, a slight mist earlier has lifted. The overnight low was 13.5 and yesterday's high was a rather warm 21.8.
