Here in Edinburgh, there has been a little bit of rain which didn't really start until the early hours of this morning and which has ended up amounting to only around 2 mm at Edinburgh Gogarbank.
That then led us into a damp start to this morning, but I don't really see any puddles around and that rain is already in the process of clearing away from the west. This means that although the day has started off on a dull and overcast note, I'm sure that the Sun will be out as per usual before too long.
Despite all of the cloud cover though, it's still rather chilly here for the time of year. Last night's overnight minimum temperature was down to 3.2°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, albeit without a ground frost and even as I write, the temperature here in Edinburgh is currently only around 4°C.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
