Already reached 18 C at 10 am in unbroken sunshine even here at my coastal Folkestone harbour location. The relatively cold Strait Of Dover channel seem to be having little effect at the moment.

A mostly cloudy morning here in Edinburgh with only the odd bright or sunny interval, especially earlier on this morning.

Last night's overnight minimum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank was 8.3°C which is similar to the maximum temperatures which we were getting a few days ago.

Currently around 14°C here in Edinburgh

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

It's remained mostly cloudy up here but in the last hour or two we have much more blue sky and it's 17 C so warm enough to sit out ☀️

Didn't think we would get close to another 20c diurnal range, like yesterday, after a low of 6.2c overnight but the high was 25.8c so it was a pretty close call.

24.5c currently, hazy high cloud.

It's felt like summer today - clear blue skies all day long, barely a puff of wind, and the temperature rising through the day. It's 21.5 outside now, the high being 21.8 a little earlier, following an overnight low of 5.3.

It's an unusual day indoors, too; the heating clicked on this morning as it went below 16C downstairs, but it's now 27 upstairs and so it's likely I'll need to wheel out the portable aircon for the first time this year - I know from bitter experience that the heat up there will linger for much of the night, as there's no breeze to bring the cooler air in from outside.

A mild and humid start to the day - sunny, no wind, 9.1, dew 7.4 and a heavy dew on the grass. It's going to be another hot day for the time of year, and I suspect the warmest day of the year so far. (Yesterday maxed out at 21.8, the MetO raw has 23 this afternoon).

It felt like one of those humid July days earlier - the sky turned milky, the dewpoint rose higher than it has done for months, and yes, it was warmer than yesterday. The max was 24.4, but it's now cooling down nicely: 14.8 and falling relatively quickly. It should be a more comfortable night for sleeping as a result!

Bright with hazy sunshine via extensive thin high cloud, no halo though - as far as I can see but may keep keeping out for it. We've lost the warmth at 11.5 C & low 60% H but winds are very light at the moment and is still dry.

Pretty disgusting out there with a cold, penetrating wind and driving rain, albiet not that heavy. 6.4c currently, which is the max so far today.  Horrible April this has been to date.

Here in Edinburgh, there has been a little bit of rain which didn't really start until the early hours of this morning and which has ended up amounting to only around 2 mm at Edinburgh Gogarbank.

That then led us into a damp start to this morning, but I don't really see any puddles around and that rain is already in the process of clearing away from the west. This means that although the day has started off on a dull and overcast note, I'm sure that the Sun will be out as per usual before too long.

Despite all of the cloud cover though, it's still rather chilly here for the time of year. Last night's overnight minimum temperature was down to 3.2°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, albeit without a ground frost and even as I write, the temperature here in Edinburgh is currently only around 4°C.

The forecast for here mentions rain showers but today it's been a constant run of dust storms from the building site across the road. My car is filthy. Two years ago, you'd hear skylarks in this area but now it's the rumble of rollers and diggers during the week. And the stink of fumes from badly maintained machinery.

Been cool and cloudy for most of the day, it wasn't until late afternoon and especially early afternoon when the sun came out. However, it remain virtually rainless, thus ideal for putting together mum's memorial flowerbed in the front garden as well as levelling off the lawn in the process (the latter I've been meaning to do for a long time as it always had a slight bulge and a dip). Since it will need grass-seeding again, watch how there will be scant rainfall for the next 4 months, happens every time.

Max is 13.6 C at 12 am, currently 10,0 C & mid-70% H in mod SW breeze.
