I know I'm banging the drum on this one but the wind speeds forecast for the Isles of Scilly this evening are exceptional.
Most models are now showing a period of 100mph and above gusts with mean wind speeds between 65 and 85mph!
Given that this is coinciding with the high tide and is from a more unusual direction I've a feeling it may well cause significant damage sadly. The islands are used to a gale but the last 100mph+ storm was way back in 1997.
If the models continue to show this through the day I'd be surprised not to see a Red warning later.
