There's not a lot which Richard from Aberdeen actually liked but one of the few things which he did like was seeing plenty of snow and he did often post some really really good pictures of that when it happened.
Nowadays, the only reports from Aberdeen are currently coming the Doc (Michael) and I'm not sure why Richard suddenly disappeared from the scene as this is the sort of weather which we would actually have loved.
Meanwhile, Edinburgh continues to be completely starved of any snow. The radar maps are showing up little bits and pieces of it here, but I'm just not seeing that at all. Everything continues to look as bone dry as ever with most of the precipitation actually passing by to our north and completely avoiding here altogether.
That should come as no surprise because just now, Edinburgh can't even seem to be able to get any rainfall these days, let alone anything which will actually fall as snow. Even rainfall appears to be becoming something from the past in our future climate which we used to get but no longer get, and that is going to be very concerning going forward as regards to our river and reservoir levels.
As I write, I am now starting to see the odd flurry of snow here in Edinburgh but I'm not expecting much more than that if anything at all but as that is happening, the temperature has risen back up above freezing after dropping to around -3°C in the earlier part of the night.
