Looking nice - the kind of fall that brings my inner child out and makes me go play on the gravel bike and see how much sliding about I can do😂

There are some very heavy showers to the north of here with the risk of thundersnow (which some places have experienced recently).

The traffic cams look pretty wintry this morning and I do like the snowgate scene. Hard to tell the depth from that but I'd guess 'decent' :-

09;00am from bedroom window a light dusting of powder - but most of the snow showers were to the west of Okehampton over Bobmin moor and even Launceston. There was a 5-10 in flurry at 10:00am and you can see how localised it is because to the east of Okehampton the sun was out and it was green but everything to the west had a light dusting and my place was just on the edge....

Exeter missed out as always so glad I am not there and I think most of Dartmoor (east missed out, so probably Haytor, Bovey Tracey, Chagford etc missed out as well).

Anyways nice to see - enough to tease I guess...

Looking NE of Okehampton - hills look green and sunny skies!!

Swansea had a dusting to sea level overnight with a couple of cm in the higher parts of the city.

Here in the Vale we had a handful of snow grains.

Grandsons are up in Newcastle and they say they have settled snow there. Good to see it seems to be settling everywhere it is snowing. Getting some help from very low DPs.

Heavy snow here just now just after the amber warning has expired). The showers may ease off for a while once this one has passed. I have no idea what the snow depth is not but I have cleared the path of a good covering of snow 5 times so far today (and it’s covered again), so perhaps another 5cm or so since around 8am.

My dog is only allowed to play in the back garden so as not to ruin the snow.. She absolutely loves it but it’s so deep now she has to more or less jump rather than walk through it (and she is a fully grown Labrador).

Stunning weather here today, with the thin covering of snow hardly shifting. Here's the view from my office.

Went for a walk on meldon reservoir just NW edge of Dartmoor which clipped a snow shower left about 1cm lasted 25-30minutes . Okehampton missed it and snow shower went to the west of town - Nice to have caught up with it

While the roads around the city aren’t great at the moment, it could be worse as some in Aberdeenshire are complete impassable: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1301495788673583&set=a.547197120770124

Living in hope that those Irish Sea showers move further west as forecast this evening… if they do I might see something more than just cold rain falling..

A steady stream of showers overnight has deposited another 10-12cm of fresh snow, although there is some compaction going on as the depth on the ground only increased by 5cm, from 28cm at teatime yesterday up to the present 33cm.

Another light covering from overnight showers so we had that rare thing of snow on snow where it had stuck around in the shade. Must emphasise there are not CMS of deep snow but lovely to see!

We have snow! Big fluffy flakes, too. And as the ground is frozen, they're already sticking everywhere 🥰

It's only a shower, but hopefully the first of many through today.

I’m surprised how little snow fell here unexpectedly a few days ago it’s still holding well away from sunny spots. The Met Office mentions the possibility of snow showers tonight, but I doubt we’ll get anything unless you’re north of the M4. Grey skies are more likely for me, and at best a stray snow flurry.

In Ruddington, south Notts there's a thin cover which has survived since Friday morning. Just had some pics of my grandchildren playing in it, slight chance of a flurry there later?

Meanwhile in snow starved Edinburgh......

Fine and sunny and dry as a bone, like it has been for the past couple of days but managed a min of -3.7 C at 6.25 am which is unusual for my low laying south-facing coastal location. Even the local youths are pulling up their grey Nike trackies.
