From the data for Rovaniemi I can see that just a week ago they were on -30C.

Must be rather sad though to go somewhere like that and find only slush, hope it freezes up again in time for Christmas.

But further south in Romaniemi there have been periods of a few days of positive temps, it can be expected there in December, January and February much more snow sure.

Mammoth Lakes, CA webcams are good today.

I’m not sure if this has already been posted in here but this live stream (Loch Morlich) shows the persistence of the cold inland near Aviemore over recent days. It’s a lovely part of the country.

The images on this site are static and sometimes don’t load but they should show some interesting conditions in the next few days:

Not sure where the snowline* is in Scotland at the moment but perhaps unsurprisingly the Ptarmigan Restaurant webcam looks rather snowy.

*The lecht snow gate cam has snow on the ground and that's 570m so assume it's around that level give or take!

I've an interest in JFK and all that this attached to the assassination , this evening I've noted that the live webcam from 'snipers nest' Dealy Plaza Dallas is showing a covering of snow

Looks like a digging out day again at the Ptarmigan Restaurant - something of an Augean stables moment I'd have thought!

Great skiing conditions at Glenshee today. They've had weeks of upland snow but with generally strong winds and low cloud. Finally the sun is shining.

Check out the traffic queue at the snow gate - presumably everybody on their way to the snowy slopes ....

A big fall of snow in the French Alps yesterday. After an awful December things were transformed in January and that has continued into February.

Have you watched the osprey webcam? She [Blue210] is sitting on 3 eggs. She's an experienced mother and knows the routine. Not so sure about him. It's addictive - I have it running on my 2nd pc!
