In the early 70s, when we lived in Manchester, there was an earthquake generated by the Pendle Fault, Richter Scale 3 IIRC. It felt like a heavy lorry passing outside, but without the noise.

In the early 70s, when we lived in Manchester, there was an earthquake generated by the Pendle Fault, Richter Scale 3 IIRC. It felt like a heavy lorry passing outside, but without the noise.

Very low frequency noiseless vibration and I noticed the liquid level in a bottle of CocaCola moving around. We had the Local TV news on at the time and the presenters dived under the desk
