Another thoroughly wet and miserable, and rather dark and gloomy morning here in Edinburgh as this thoroughly wet and miserable month of November goes on here.

That said, the temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank did drop to 0.6°C in the early part of last night with a ground frost (it just didn't quite get cold enough for an air frost here) before the rain eventually set in.

Currently around 4°C here in Edinburgh

It's been a wet day  - but has just turned heavier - noisy rain on skylight. A passing shower?

There was a drier interlude here this afternoon, but it remained cloudy throughout with today being another completely sunless day at Edinburgh Gogarbank and now, light rain is falling here yet again.

The 18z raw BUFR/SYNOP data shows a maximum temperature of 5.0°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank but that covers a 12 hour period which started at 6am GMT (06:00 UTC) this morning which is before the start of the actual official observation day at 09:00 UTC and that is then that maximum temperature was actually recorded.

The actual maximum temperature so far is the highest temperature since 09:00 UTC, and that will only be no lower than 3.4°C and we will have to wait until the 21z raw BUFR/SYNOP data comes in before will know that actual maximum temperature.

I can say that this maximum temperature will probably be less than 5°C as the temperature here in Edinburgh is currently around 3°C.

EDIT:

Today's maximum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank so far is confirmed as 4.0°, but the temperature here in Edinburgh is still stuck at around 3°C with the rain having now become heavier once again.

Reporting from krakow, Poland. It is 1'c here. Freezing rain expected later. There was quite a lot of snow piled up about 4-5 inches of it but melting now. I think the snow was past night and earlier today so just missed it as just arrived and it is nighttime of course. But hope to see more when going to Zakopane 🙂🤞

Down to -3 C last night. Still -1 C at 0730. Looking wintry with overcast sky and a sparkly frost. A brief interlude before we turn mild

Minus 0.5C. Calm and a white frost we missed from the lower humidity colder but more potent recent northerly.

After a cloudy and damp night with light rain giving me 2.2 mm, this morning actually turned out better than I thought with some sunny breaks but has now become more overcast as I type this at noon.  Yesterday and the day before were the much better days with near unbroken sunshine.

A mild-feeling 12.7 C & low 90% H under mod SW breeze. Typical maritime-type fare.

The temperature here in Edinburgh is now up to a ridiculously mild 14°C here in Edinburgh, and even up to around 15°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh with some showery rain around at times, and also some sunny intervals.

Winter is over!!🥵
