Temp 1.5c after a high of 2.8c
We still have a covering of snow on the back lawn which should stay intact now for a couple of days.

As I write, the temperature here in Edinburgh has already dropped to around -1°C with an official air frost already being recorded at Edinburgh Gogarbank and Edinburgh Airport. With most of the night still to go, this already also makes tonight our coldest night of this autumn so far.

Everything taken together, here in Lincolnshire are more good things than man could have had the conscience to ask.

Yesterday's high was a cold 5.9C and there was 4.8mm of rain.,
It still looks like being a bit messy on the roads though with about 8-10 cm of snow outside (and I suspect a good deal more in other places). I suspect much of that may melt today.

I noticed our small water butt was frozen this morning! Tapped it and it seemed solid.
Another freezing cold day with nagging wind. Looked like it might snow at one point this morning but stayed dry.
Still a layer of snow on my sheltered lawn and patches elsewhere. Can see the Wolds and North York Moors from here, they look very white with a lesser cover on some of the Pennine hills in the opposite direction.
However, the temperatures have now dropped to -1.5°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank once again and that already makes tonight our coldest night of this autumn so far with an official air frost being recorded at all three of my local stations here in Edinburgh.
East Galway, Ireland.
Edit. Dropped to -2C as the sun rose and wind dropped to calm.. Now on the up again but clear and sunny.
