Sunny up here yesterday and today, breezy but the autumn clours look great in the sun and blue sky

In addition to that, we have still only had 16.6% of our 1991-2020 average October sunshine at Edinburgh Gogarbank during this month so far and there as more in the way of cloud as we came to the end of today.
However, the next couple of days are forecast to be sunnier and we now only need at least 4.9 hours of sunshine to be recorded at Edinburgh Gogarbank between now and the end of this year in order for this year to be sunnier than average so that target is probably likely to be achieved in the next day or so with more than two and a half month to spare, thus showing us just how much this has been the year in which the Sun just won't stop shining.
At the moment, we have once again returned to that same old "if only it were summer" pattern of weather which we have been in throughout most of the year (with only a few blips) with high pressure once again charge as it usually always is nowadays. With that though, the temperatures still keep on refusing to drop at night whilst the daytime maximum temperatures are still not all that cold at around 15°C or so.
As I write, it's currently around 12°C here in Edinburgh.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
