This week's weather is a complete disaster from every angle after hoping for some clear skies last week and seeing the HP coming in but HP no longer means what it used to and the less of it the better these days out of mid-summer and even then it gets too hot. The reasons why this weather is so useless is:-
1. Drought continues into Autumn. A ytd of just 300mm by November is unheard of.
2. As ever when there is no moonlight and ideal for my astro photography there is zero sky to be seen, let alone photograph.
3. And same by day with low flat light any photography is a waste of time.
4. No solar heating by day so central heating is having to come on now as house has cooled down to mean outside temperature, pretty much a constant 13C since 21st Sept - normally this time of year we get a lot of natural solar heating keeping day time temperatures up.
Sooner we get back to some decent Atlantic weather with rain and sunny spells between fronts the better, something I would never have said ten years ago!
