Earlier on today, I said that it wouldn't take much for yet another 20+°C maximum to be recorded today even though that wasn't actually forecast to happen and yet, that is exactly what has ended up happening as today's maximum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank is confirmed as 20.1°C, so it seems as though we just CANNOT cool down properly even in this less "settled" spell of weather and it also seems as though regardless of whether or not a 20+°C maximum is actually forecast, we are more or less guaranteed to get one anyway which means that even official Met Office temperature forecasts for here are a complete waste of time as we already know what our maximum temperature is going to be like anyway.
In the end, a total of just 0.7 hours of sunshine was recorded for today at Edinburgh Gogarbank and there were plenty of showers around today but as per usual, these have continued to produce very little in the way of actual recorded rainfall here. In fact, I don't recall seeing so many showers here at any time in my life before, only for so little in the way of actual rainfall to be officially recorded but that is just typical of what this month has been like, which is why we have such a major problem with water scarcity.
Currently around 14°C which isn't too hot, but I'm still finding it extremely stuffy in this little flat in which I live, and just can't seem to cool down. This means that also a number of people on here will say that recent days have been a lot fresher than of of late, I'm just not finding that to be the case here.
