The exceptionally hot upper air has arrived here... even with no wind, and following a day which "only" reached 24.5, it's been hovering between 18.6 and 19 for most of the night. There was a brief puff of wind a couple of hours ago and it jumped up to 20!
I'm hoping the wind continues to blow from the sea later today, but there's a small chance it won't, in which case it's going to be insufferable. Further west the humidity will be lower, which won't make it feel as bad (but which will help desiccate things more)...
