There was 0.6mm of rain earlier from a relatively brief shower, but that's the lot. The rest of the day has been breezy, with a fair bit of cloud whizzing through - and also some longer sunny spells.

The main thing is it's not been statistically warm for once - it still felt warm to me, but it's summer and it's nigh impossible to actually feel cold at this time of year! Currently 21.7, dew 14.1, with the high so far being 22.6. Last night's low was a pleasant 12.4.

Dry with occasional sunny spells.

Dry, bright and breezy with a peak of 21 C. Pretty much like the last few days, really. 😅

Here in Hawick, the earlier rain has now given way to heavy showers with only brief bright or sunny intervals in between.

Currently around 14°C

Decent slow moving moderate rain this evening days total closing in on 10mm.

It's such a long time since we had meaningful rain it feels quite weird.

Could be more heavy showers towards weekend.

A better start to this morning here in Hawick, and there was even some earlier sunshine.

However, it’s still mostly cloudy with only the odd bright or sunny interval and according to the latest rain radar maps, there’s still the odd light shower in our vicinity but for now, it’s still dry here.

It’s also slightly warmer than this time yesterday with a temperature of around 16°C after a fairly cool night.

Luckily, I’m well inland here in Hawick so that shouldn’t have any effect here, but it would imagine that it will probably still be a bit cooler where you are in Edinburgh (and even cooler in NW Edinburgh) with that wind coming in from off the North Sea.

After me saying that this morning was a bit better than of late, a very heavy shower has just arrived from the NE.

Third overcast day. somewhat drier than yesterday, which was a pretty wet day, but still very breezy with the occasional shower. The sun has broken through a couple of times and hopefully will be fully out later this afternoon. At least we've had some much needed rain after all the heat. A comfortable 20c right now.

Fair with sunny breaks and partial cloud. Just about touching 25 C, warmer than it has been in any of the past heatwaves for my neck of the woods. 😂

The earlier showers have now died away which has finally allowed me to sit outside in my Mum’s garden at long last!!

There is still some cloud around as I write, but there are also more in the way of sunny intervals coming through at times.

Currently around 19°C here in Hawick which is still not any warmer than average for this time of the year although it feels quite a bit warmer than that when the Sun comes out.

Back to normal today, a good deal of sunshine and warm with it. The dewpoint has, at least, been a bit lower than of late and that's made it feel more pleasant than recent warm days.

It's 3:20am and still 20C outside

Wasn't expecting such a warm night - certainly wasn't forecasted. The day was only around 26C.

Unlike early when i posted it has clouded over somewhat now
