White Rabbits!!
It's the start of yet another brand new month which on this occasion, also takes us into the second half of 2025 already.
In addition to that, we have just entered into our warmest month of the year on average according to the 1991-2020 monthly averages and because of that, this is also when we enter into the period of the year which is known as high summer.
Today's forecast was relatively poor compared to other recent days, but the weather is actually turning out to be not as bad it was forecast to be.
It's mostly cloudy just now but even with that, there is still some blue sky around with even some sunny intervals around earlier on in this year in which the Sun just will not stop shining.
There was a little bit of dampness around for a while during the night but no actual recorded rainfall from that and it's completely bone dry once again. The result of this is that although June was a wetter than average month in terms of the actual rainfall amounts, the number of rain days in June has still ended up below average yet again because yesterday needed to go down as an official rain day in order for the number of rain days in June to be above average and that has just not happened at all.
As I write, the relative humidity is very high but the temperature has dropped by quite a lot with the dew point also dropping a bit, so it doesn't feel as stuffy in my flat just now as it felt last night.
Currently around 13°C here in Edinburgh and much cooler than it was at this time yesterday, following on from an overnight minimum temperature of 11.6°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
