There I was feeling bold estimating nearly 1.5Β°C above the 1991-2020 average for this month πŸ˜„

Given the SSTs around the UK & western Europe now, I'll be extremely impressed if anyone estimates a cool July and is proven correct. Sure, it's plausible with the right weather patterns, but it would take a lot of confidence in those coming around.

Jesus, I didn't even realise the CET had gotten that high! It's on course to be almost as warm as June 2023, though personally I'd consider that a far superior month due to the sunshine and the thundery spell around mid-month.

Congratulations Redmoons on this month's win - a virtual bottle of bubbly is on it's way to you!

What an extraordinary month - we were below average to the 12th which just shows how extreme the 2nd half as been to end up with a CET so high.
