Fun fact: If you'd used the all-time CET average (not the 1991-2020 one) for all predictions so far, your total error for Jan-Jun 2025 would be a whopping 11.63°C!

Satisfyingly, the highest among contestants is much lower at 8.05°C.

On the other hand, using the 1991-2020 average all the time would have you at 8.83°C. That's pretty high considering it's the most recent 'standard climatology'. All but one month has been at least 1.19°C different to it, and two months at least 2.32°C different.

It's just past the half way mark of the year and the results are in - it's all change at the top with a new leader in Frank with last months chart topper Lanky taking a big tumble down the table. It's still all to play for though with an error spread of just 0.2c amongst the top 5.
