Looks like the hottest places were quite far north today - 26.7C at Coningsby was the highest I have seen. Here it felt quite cool until mid afternoon and then the heat built as the clouds cleared.

A very balmy evening, the first properly warm evening for a while. The wind has dropped and some drier air must have arrived as the sky is clear blue whereas this morning it was hazy with cirrus and contrails.

Yesterday afternoon there was a strong sea breeze on the coast, probably force 4 or 5, which kept temperatures bearable there. Probably the same today

Dense fog visible a few hundred meters away, but a clear if very smoky sky here. Quite a eerie spectacle it has to be said.
