ICON 12Z continues the trend to a quick breakdown and a return to much cooler fairly quickly.
I expect the other models to trend this way over the next day or so.

And a reminder that the mid-June average max in the SE is 20, 21 in London - it'll be a fair while before we see those values again down here!
The highest June temperature recorded in Edinburgh is 27.8 C in 1982
Highest June temperature in Scotland was 33.2 in Motherwell in 2018

Meto week ahead just said low to mid 30's this weekend.

Looks like 38c next Monday wow!

I doubt we are going to see mid 30s this weekend or shortly after folks. High 20s/low 30s at most then a cool off.
Up tick in confidence record will go
Gm looks mighty hot to me 33 34 35
France approx 40c many will have to take shelter
Yep, the June temperature record is smashed by the GFS 12Z.

GEM 12z is also a record breaker and stays hot. We have a chance.
UKMO eases the temperatures a bit but by 168hrs it looks ripe for a reload of high pressure I would have thought?
GEM 12Z also goes for a roasting Monday, 35C+.

AIFS 12z moves towards GFS , much less of a breakdown but probably wouldn't break the record.
You’ve been overwhelmingly wrong on everything else lately, so hopefully that continues. Be nice to get some heat after this “Unsettled June”…..

Ecm 12z also doesn't have the weekend breakdown, and looks like it would likely break the record Sunday or Monday

You have to laugh.....21 C here, it'll be nice and cool in Edinburgh flats and houses over the weekend 😆
850s drop into single figures next week on the ECM but high pressure builds again from the south and I think we would still be looking at high 20s.
Yes it's quickly back into the furnace again by 264h , probably mid 30s 3 days later. Available on WXCharts.
June records under threat based on the recent runs. Either way it’s an awful and unsettled June. Great call from yourself to pick this up before the models did
We need to swap locations. It's been dry, warm/hot sunny here! We desperately need your unsettled to get rid of the dust and pollen with no rain in sight for the next couple of weeks here at least things are starting to look serious.
Edit. Just realised you were being sarcastic 😀
I get the glee of the ultra hottie freaks but do you not feel a pang of concern about what seems the exponential climate change taking place now? Wildlife diminishing all around us specifically because of it. We have had 195mm of rain so far this year and hardly any at all in the past three months. That is going to cause some serious issues if it lasts all summer as many are predicting. Just saying ..........
