ICON 12Z continues the trend to a quick breakdown and a return to much cooler fairly quickly.

I expect the other models to trend this way over the next day or so.

Doesn't look like a quick breakdown on the GFS 12Z so far... 30C reached on Saturday, 34C on Sunday and more heat building in on Monday... 37C in London in fact. That would obliterate the June record and would likely mean the last summer month would tick off 100F.

UKMO 12Z seems to side more with ICON.

I doubt we are going to see mid 30s this weekend or shortly after folks. High 20s/low 30s at most then a cool off.

GEFS 12z has an op run which is pure delight for hotties (not me!) with one very hot spell around 23rd and again the 30th, But it's not supported by the majority of ens members which, while pleasantly warm after the 23rd, are not extreme.

GEM 12Z also goes for a roasting Monday, 35C+.

UKMO eases the temperatures a bit but by 168hrs it looks ripe for a reload of high pressure I would have thought?

AIFS 12z moves towards GFS , much less of a breakdown but probably wouldn't break  the record.

June records under threat based on the recent runs. Either way it’s an awful and unsettled June. Great call from yourself to pick this up before the models did

I get the glee of the ultra hottie freaks but do you not feel a pang of concern about what seems the exponential climate change taking place now? Wildlife diminishing all around us specifically because of it. We have had 195mm of rain so far this year and hardly any at all in the past three months. That is going to cause some serious issues if it lasts all summer as many are predicting. Just saying ..........
