The latest rainfall data for Edinburgh Gogarbank is as follows:
Data For Recent Days
Total since 10 am BST (09:00 UTC) yesterday morning: 5.8 mm (as at 8:40 am BST (07:40 UTC) this morning on Saturday 24 May 2025)
We're now only a week away from the end of the month and yet, this is only our first recorded rainfall of this month, and our first recorded rainfall since 25 April 2025 thus bringing to an end, an official absolute drought which lasted for a total of 27 days. Furthermore, yesterday was only our first official rain day since 20 April 2025 which is more than an entire month ago.
It makes a pleasant change though to now finally be able to use this thread for its original intended purpose at long last.
