Today has started off on a dull and overcast note here in Edinburgh after the clearance of some overnight rain but even with that, there is still the odd bright interval at times with even the odd brief glimpse of the Sun.
That rainfall amounted to 6.0 mm at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 6.2 mm at the botanic gardens but although we're now only a week away from the end of this month, that is only our first recorded rainfall of this month and our first recorded rainfall since 25 April 2025 with yesterday going down as only our first official rain day since 20 April 2025 which is more than an entire month ago.
That shows just how dry it's been just lately but with all of the cloud cover, last night was much milder than of late.
Currently around 14°C here in Edinburgh
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
