24.3c here today, glorious once I got home from the office. Can't remember the last time I will have had 10 BBQs or so in April...

Given that this has been such an exceptionally sunny month within an exceptionally sunny spring though, that would just be clutching at straws and so I don't have any real complaints with that.

Calm, foggy, condensation on the outside of windows and doors! It looks like the temperature's fallen sharply in the last hour, below the previous dewpoint.

7.2, dew 6.0, the low so far also being 7.2. Yesterday's high was 18.9.

It was akin to having a huge high power spotlight shining directly in your face no matter what direction you turned.

After yesterdays just over 24C it's 11.7C, clear, calm and sunny.

I think the breeze will get up like yesterday. Watering done. Without those two batches of rain several days ago the garden would be showing it more than it does. Looks dry for the forseeable. I hope I'm wrong.

A lot of high cloud from the west again in Edinburgh this morning. Those clear blue skies further south are struggling to move north. Nevertheless we have hazy sun and the promise of our last warm day of this spell.

It dropped to 8 C overnight and another day in the garden beckons.

11.3C calm and sunny

Yesterday's MetO max was 24.7C at Trawsgoed near Aberystwyth, but 24C widely recorded so I'm not surprised for unofficial stations to reach 25C.

Annoying high cloud again here, thickening up from the SW making everything hazy, despite this, it's 21 C which is not bad for Scotland in April!!

Today is once again, our warmest day of this year so far with a current temperature of 22.2°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank.

There's still a lot of high cloud around but there's none of the fair weather clouds which were around yesterday and the Sun is still getting through those high clouds without any problems.

In addition to that, today's temperatures have not yet peaked here in Edinburgh and are still rising as I write.

As today is the last day of this month, this means that in the final statistics for this month, a total of three 20+°C maximums have been recorded this month at Edinburgh Gogarbank which for this early in the season, is very impressive indeed especially when you consider that in other recent years, we have generally been having to wait until the end of May before eventually getting even our first 20+°C maximum of the year.

27.5c now in St James's Park. It's about 2c above anywhere in London which is odd. It's not normally that different

The public toilet that is St James's Park is 27.7c but surely will be discounted.

A beautiful day here, with lots of sunshine and a high of 25.8°C. It's the warmest day since last summer. Hopefully some more of this through the summer months 🙂

A high of 26.2c here so far in my small and urban back garden. And 24.8c at a local Met station just outside of town. Not sure if it is an April record for the region, but it can't be far off it either.

Warm and a bit muggy today - the gentle breeze from the sea has been dragging in unusually high dewpoints.

Currently sunny, 18.1, dew 13.8, the high so far being 19.3.

The MetO raw still has 29 tomorrow here, but it has 21 today. I suspect possibly the mid 20s as a high, but even so that depends on us losing the sea breeze - nature's a/c has been hard at work over the past couple of days, and no complaints here! 😂

I also noticed Lakenheath hit a rounded 29C on Weatherobs, way out of whack with surrounding stations. But that's not a Met Office one anyway.

Ben Rich on BBC Radio 4  weather saying that Wisley recorded 26.7C - "the warmest April Day for 7 years" referring I think to St James Park Apr 19th 2018 when it reached 29.1C. But we have a date record 😂

There have been other late April days when 26.7 was exceeded, 1893 and 2011 exceeded that figure between 20th and 25th.
