A chilly start to today with a ground frost but the easterly muck is back again to bring us a cloudy start to today.

Today's maximum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank was 13.9°C with a total of 9.8 hours of sunshine being recorded for today in the end.

All of a sudden though, that east coast haar has come in from off the North Sea in the form of very thick fog and the temperature here in Edinburgh has suddenly dropped back to only around 6°C.

What happened? Well it's thick cloud back but was still surprised to find it only 7.3C at 10.50 am. Not sure it's going to be 22C here in 2 days time as the BBC was forecasting last night!

Under the dreaded North Sea haar here with overcast skies making the current 9.2 C & high-70% H feel cold. At least winds are lighter, though.

After yesterday's dizzy heights of 14 C we are back to 9 C in North Sea gloom. It's certainly been a cold feeling week and strange to think we are predicted to be 10 C warmer tomorrow 🤔

It's been cold here, a max of just 9.4 and probably the last single-figure maximum for many months. It's presently sunny, 7.8, dew 5.0. Last night's low was 6.5 and yesterday's high was 13.1.

Another cold and cloudy day tomorrow (MetO raw has 11C), then into the 20s after that!

5C earlier with another slight ground frost. Sunny with light puffs of air.

Yesterday still felt chilly out of the sun even when it was 18C. The dry air I assume.
