This morning has actually started off on a slightly colder note than of late though not by enough to even give us as much as a ground frost.

The wind has died down a bit, but is still coming in from the North Sea and without any change in that wind direction, it could still feel rather chilly later on if that wind freshens up a bit once again later on as it tends to do during the day.

There is still a bit of cloud around as well but unlike in other recent days, there are already some decent sunny spells coming through right from the word go.

Currently around 4°C here in Edinburgh.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

We seem to have entered some form of time travel David.

Maybe an edit to the title of the thread?

Otherwise much the same here as in Sussex as it is in Dorset.

-1.6 with valley fog again, not sure how unusual it is but a striking white fog bow was very obvious as sun was rising but didn't have camera while going round sheep lambing outside.

It has been the best year for that in a very long time with dry conditions adequate grass already and not a drop of rain though some days e.g. yesterday have been cold windy and cloudy.

They will be done by next weekend.

Mostly sunny from the start today and already up to 6 C. We should reach double figures today, maybe 12 or 13 C. We still need to get rid of this east wind!

Fine and sunny but still that nagging NE breeze making the current 13.5 C feel quite cool and fresh. Dare I say it but could do with a drop of rain now. 🤣

My rain gauge has not tipped since 25th March so that is 12 days.

It would only be drizzle/fog 0.2mm that time too however we had reasonable 25mm earlier in March.

19C

Feeling nice despite being a few down on recent days. Dew points are a little higher today at around 9C and the wind is lighter so it feels just as warm as yesterday's 22C which was muted by very low dew point and wind.

With the exception of a little bit of cloud cover first thing this morning, today has been cloud-free with plenty of unbroken sunshine.

As a result, today has also been a bit warmer than of late though not by much as we still have a breeze from off the North Sea.

Currently around 11°C here in Edinburgh.

Today's 18.2c was down a bit on yesterday's 20.8c but when you're stood next to a 250c bbq it felt pleasant at 7:30 tonight with the sun going down... summer is on!

Today's maximum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank is officially confirmed as 11.4°C so today was slightly warmer than other recent days with a total of 12.3 hours of sunshine which also makes today our joint sunniest day of this year so far.

The temperatures are falling away just now under clear skies and are currently at around 4°C here in Edinburgh but we have now finally lost that wind from off North Sea which had been around for several days which means that even if it gets cold enough tonight for a frost, tomorrow should at least end up being a bit warmer than of late in any strong sunshine.

This morning has started off on a cold note here in Edinburgh with an official air frost even being recorded at Edinburgh Gogarbank where the overnight minimum temperature was -0.2°C.

However, today has also started off on a bright and sunny note and since the wind is no longer coming in from off the North Sea, today should end up being a bit warmer than of late due to that strong sunshine and despite that cold start to the day.

Currently around 1°C here in Edinburgh

As expected, today is warmer than of late and has been completely sunny up until now with the temperatures up to around 15°C here in Edinburgh.

However, those breezes from off the North Sea are back and although they aren't blowing as strongly as in other recent days for now, that doesn't really bode all that well for the coming days ahead.
