I'm pretty surprised how much the CET running total, so late in the month, is being shifted by fairly modest temps.

March finished on 7.9°C. 16th warmest in the record so comfortably in the top 5%. However for mean maximum it ranked 5th, just behind 2012 but only 53rd for the mean minimum.

Congratulations on the win Lanky - I'll get onto the table tonight with the intention of publishing results tomorrow.

I think there'll be a few movers!

Situation report: Happy to be within 0.1°C for March, but already concerned I might have gone a degree or so two low for April, what with the forecast modelling having shifted markedly warmer for next week since the end of last month 😅

Probably related to how sunny it was.

England had its sunniest March on record (going back to 1910).  Southern England and the Midlands beat their previous record by around 18 hours.

Here's the table for March - things are starting to open up a little but Lanky is building quite a buffer in the lead. The table will likely shorten next month as we've a few missed predictions sadly.

On that note has anyone heard from ARTzeman - he's been absent for sometime now.

Thank you Dave.  Sadly, there’s been no sign of Art for a few weeks.  He’s been a regular poster in the forum arms as well but hasn’t posted there for a while either.  I know both he and his wife had ongoing health issues but he hadn’t mentioned anything specific in his last posts.  😢
