We have had quite an extended spell of dry and often sunny weather just lately with the only variations from some days being warm and others being cold although we have had the occasional air frost during this time.
However, this morning is a completely different story altogether because after some overnight rain (something which we've seen very little of just lately), today has started off on a dull and dreary note with a temperature of around 7°C here in Edinburgh.
Still not all that exciting but that appears to be as interesting as our weather actually gets now.

Update at 12.15 pm: Sadly, temperatures have crept down to 11 C on account of an onshore SE breeze in from a relatively cold Channel, but still quite sunny.

The first poor day for a while, we were forecast some afternoon sun, but nada.

Edit. The forecast last night for here was "in the early hours rain will develop". Which implies a useful fall of rain. What the forecaster could have said was "a weakening front will bring light and patchy rain".
Blue sky to the west now.
