We've not actually had one here!
Temps have topped out at 4-6c, with nighttime mins -1 to +2c last few daysÂ
Interesting, as you're not far from a CET station IIRC? I guess that means the more southerly ones must really have skewed things...

Safe to say the month is likely to be notably colder thus far than suggested forecasts at the start of winter.
Not surprised. It's been a very cold January where I am. Very few double figures maxes.  đÂ

Only a few days to go - the thing I have had to remember is that the CET is just that the central england temperature - doesn't include stuff below the M4 (perhaps the CET is where the boundary really is and they built the M4 along it by fortuitous accident?) - it also doesn't include cold(er) northern Britain or East Anglia, which have got some media worthy low/mild temperatures. Perhaps we'll get to 3.5 in the end - can I change my prediction now.... ??

Bank! 3 days to go so it will continue to edge upwards but I'm relieved that the rise has been much slower than looked likely a couple of weeks ago.Â

Oh is that what the delay was about?Â
Disappointed a simple tag on the website couldn't announce the delay.Â
On another note, January was forecast to be above average for temperatures and although it has crept closer it remains below.

Bank indeed. Just needs to edge up a little higher.....
