The temperature here in Edinburgh is now up to around 8°C and not even the least bit cold any more!!😡

In addition to that, the wind has also picked up a bit now.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Overcast for the first time in a few days. It's still calm, but noticeably warmer: 2.0, dew 1.6. There was a brief period earlier where it turned colder, down to -1.8, but it only lasted a couple of hours. The frost has continued thawing since, and the lawn is now a patchwork of white and green rather than mostly white as it's been for the past few days.

Yesterday's high was 2.0.

After yesterday which was like being in Canada or Norway, all the snow has melted overnight and it's up to 11C this morning - a total contrast. Cloudy, quite windy and dry so there are no puddles or anything - the snow has just vanished.

A dull and windy start to today and even most of the snow on the Pentland Hills to my south has now largely disappeared as this winter continues to go completely down the toilet pan with the temperature now up to around 10°C here in Edinburgh, thus giving us the first double figures temperatures of the year.😡

The cold uppers may be moving on but it's actually colder at 6.1 C at 1 pm than this time yesterday's 7.3 C. Humidity level is the same at low-70%, but today is more overcast with a S breeze whereas yesterday we were able to feel the apricity of the noon sun in calm air, although today is completely frost-free.

3.7c and partly cloudy.

High today 5.3c.

Pavements are unusable today as the melting ice is so slippy . Still good snow cover so should manage an 11th day tomorrow .

5.1c high today, following an overnight low of -0.8c although as per Darren's comments, that was only briefly as temps yoyo'd around and we started the day at circa 3c.

Currently 1.4c following a brief dip down to 0.7c at 8.09pm - I assume it'll be a case of cloud amounts coming and going dictating whether the temp rises or falls.

In theory GFS has me down to reach the dizzying highs of 6.6c tomorrow (WX charts), will see what happens.

Mid-afternoon sun beaming into my famed west facing room providing some solar input, just starting to notice the slightly later sun set. Been a fair and bright day with some sunny spells that made the max of 9.3 C felt quite Spring-like. Actually managed a slight frost early this morning with a min of 0.9 C at 6.15 am.

A very mild 9.8c

Snow cover this morning but rapidly thawed today, all that remains are mounds where it has been cleared and the odd patch of persistent ice on pavements.

We're back to the dull, grey and mild mode of winter now - but at least it's pretty much calm.

Oddly, despite relatively warm temperatrues (8.4, dew 7.8) everything is soaking wet - the roads, pavements, grass, bins etc - it looks for all the world like it's been raining, but of course it hasn't. The lawn is squelchy today, I think it's still frozen an inch or so down and thus it's trapping all the melted frost / dew on top.

Last night's low was 7.3, with yesterday's high being 9.2. Not a great performance by the models, TBH, as even 2 days out they were going for a much colder night!
