Seems like the first half certainly; and in the south, even during this weekend's warm-up, the cold air is stubbornly resistant to moving. Models showing HP and 850 temps of 5°C or more (10°C in some cases) still suggest surface maxes lower than that in S England. With one of the CET three being in the NW, however, it will be interesting to see how the CET plays out overall.

Well I'm reasonably happy with my 3.51C prediction, of course it will start edging upwards from tomorrow but steady as she goes. There is nothing particualry mild on the horizon, more just average I'd say.
