Rain has changed to sleet and wet snow once again here in NW Edinburgh.

All we need now is for it to stay like that and possibly turn more to snow so that we can get a decent covering but that would probably be too much to ask for

I'll bet these are splendid pictures, just a shame I can't see them, it's so annoying I have tried everything to try to fix this but it's still eluding me 😒

I use flickr and imgbox to post pics on here but I just took a look at imgbb and it seems to have a do not auto-delete option when you upload

Last of the snow has gone now. We made the most of it this morning,  built a Snowman and the local park was v snowy. Will we get anymore this winter. No guarantees.

0.4c with drizzle now, snow starting to fall from trees.

Snowing in Blackpool again apparently, need that colder air aloft to push east, but not forecast to until well into the night.

Been raining steadily for about an hour now. Making little headway on clearing the snow down far.

Looks like it's just plain old rain now as it's been quite a while since I last saw anything which is even remotely wintry here in NW Edinburgh.

After over 24 hours of rain, the snow has finally arrived here. It's been quite heavy for the last hour or so and everything has turned white. Radar suggests that we should have a few hours of this.

Delighted to see this. My first lying snow since 2021.

The rain here in NW Edinburgh has once again turned to wet snow and for the first time in this particular event, this is starting to leave a slightly slushy deposit here.

Despite steady drizzle most of the day, we still have snow, but it’s raining more heavily now, so that could change. It’s also got colder and is currently 0.8c, so it could turn icy again and we do have a yellow warning for more snow and ice.  What a strange weather day!

They were still cached on my phone so I transferred them over to a different host where I don't think they get deleted

Snowing again here now  mixed with ice pellets but enough to fill in the gaps where the snow has been cleared and freshen up the existing cover.  May just be temporary as the precipitation is very heavy. Down to 0.0c.

Whilst some models showed snow on the back edge,, having snow back so quickly this evening was a suprise particularly as warm air had been further North than originally estimated.

Coming down so heavy now.
