Edinburgh, in the frost hollow below Blackford Hill
The Pentlands camera still 'plastered' with snow so it must be turning white up there

So the first feature of this cold spell has given us a wee taste of winter for the New Year
It also reinforces to me how useless the snow depth model charts are. To an extent I understand why (due to the convective nature of the snow), but none of them have this modelled nearly correctly, for example:

Seems like a decent event Doc, hopefully it will stick around for a while.

There is however a nice little feature passing through overnight tonight which might give a spell for snow(?) for a while here too.
Could be a nice morning for a walk on the beach.

Fort William still green...
It is quite sheltered from showers in the current air flow. In contrast, we in Aberdeen are not, and my street is looking pretty this morning (taken 15 minutes ago).

Much preferable to the weeks of tedious mild, cloudy nothingness with not even a frost. -1C currently and prior to today had not been below freezing since 14th December.

To be fair, you do indeed get a no entry sign... might be worth checking sharing settings?
